What do I do when the product doesn't stick out any more?

Just place the tip of your finger or thumb inside the base of the tube and gently push upwards.

If you find it wont move easily, roll the deodorant on a bench, back and forth, gently to loosen its grip.

Can I compost the paper tube at home?

Absolutely! Our paper packaging is home-compostable.

Composting Tips:

  • Cut the cardboard tube into small pieces
  • Add to some food scraps, pop in your compost bin or dig straight into your garden, it will decompose and become food for earthworms and microbes.
  • All our tubes and tubs are Forestry Stewardship Council Certified and we only use soy based inks.
Are your products cruelty free?

Absolutely. We do not test on animals and have cruelty-free certification in New Zealand and worldwide with PETA.

Are all your products Vegan?

Yes. We do not use any animal derived ingredients and we do not test on animals.

Our testers are our friends and family.

Are all your products organic?

All our ingredients are at least 70% organic by volume and 100% natural ingredients overall.

Are all your products made in New Zealand?

Yes. We use small-batch manufacturing in New Zealand to create all our products with care.

  • Organic Rosehip Fruit Oil 

    Rosehip oil contains a wealth of essential fatty acids, including linoleic and linolenic acid. Fatty acids help to keep cell walls strong so that they don’t lose water. The many fatty acids in rosehip oil make it an excellent option for hydrating dry, itchy skin. The skin also easily absorbs the oil, allowing its antioxidants to travel deep into the skin’s layers.

Composting at home

Our products are all home compostable.

When you are finished with your Slo beauty tube or tub, you can chop it up and pop it into your compost bin or dig it into your garden. It will biodegrade and become food for earthworms and microbes.

Because we know waste is an issue, we have made it easy.

If composting is not an option you can safely pop these tubes and tubs into your rubbish bin or recycling bin. Happy days! Happy planet!

Animal cruelty free means that a product was manufactured without testing, harming, or killing animals. Not only does Slo not test on animals, but we only use ingredients that haven’t been tested on animals.
